Have you started to hear the grandmas and amateurs out there started to make money from stock market recently?
Since end of last year, I have consistently hearing people make a lot of money from stock market, newbies enter into stock market, even those don't know any but just want to get a piece of it. The market rally is strong and unstoppable since early September last year. A lot of mid and small caps price have grown many times.
Now, based on these information given, can we tell is it the time to cash out our money from stock market?

COPY: Unleashing Talent Is Job For Chief Executives
While the government strives to create an ecosystem that is conducive to talent growth and ease of doing business, it is up to the CEOs of Malaysia to unleash the talent they have, said Datuk Seri Idris Jala, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and CEO of Pemandu (Performance Management Delivery Unit), yesterday.
“Talent is a crucial issue for Pemandu, but the truth is the responsibility for unleashing talent rests squarely on the shoulders of the CEO,” said Idris. He was speaking at a dialogue with CEOs organised by PwC Malaysia titled “What future are you preparing for”. The dialogue’s other panellist was Stuart Dean, president of GE Asean.

What's Wrong With PNB 100-Storey Skyscrapper?
The apparently growing opposition to plans by Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) to build a 100-storey skyscraper as part of the Warisan Merdeka integrated project is a classic example of what can go wrong when information is either badly presented or poorly received.
Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, when announcing the project in his 2011 Budget speech on October 15, said the landmark, which will be developed by PNB, is to be completed by 2020.

Big Is Beautiful? Think Again
The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is one of Malaysia's success stories. The pension fund was the world's seventh biggest state pension fund in 2006, according to a Watson Wyatt study. Today, it manages more than RM300 billion of assets. In 1985, this was only RM26 billion. As always, millions of its members look forward to a good dividend payment and when you are close to retirement, a bigger number would obviously make your day.
But being big is not all that it's cracked up to be. For starters, you need to make more to pay dividends when assets are big. For example, if you manage RM100, a 5 per cent dividend is RM5 but if you take care of RM1000, 5 per cent is RM50. You need to make 10 times more in investment income to pay the same level of dividend as the guy that has a smaller fund.

Updated on Short-Listed Companies & OPR
Still remember my post on some short-listed companies in the mid of January? I must admit most of them are on board already, due to the higher profit growth from the quarter report, from 5% to 30%. They are just good to generate stable profit for me.
Among them, the most outshine one is Coastal, which is my favorite. I believe it will continue to grow higher, as the positive factors are surrounding her. On the other hand, if you are unlucky and continue to hold IRCB which I mentioned in my previous post that I don't want to touch at all, please look her price between the date of my post and today. I hope you have cleared it at it's peak.
Today, Bank Negara finally raised the Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) by 25 basis points to 2.25%. Again, they claimed the domestic economy has improved significantly and is now on a path of recovery. Perhaps what they said is true, it's time. For those who bought real estate in 2009, apparently you have made the right decision.

Happy Chinese New Year!
Anyway, I just want to borrow this opportunity to wish you, Happy Chinese Yew Year! For those who gambling, I wish you win a lot of money. For those who visit friends and relatives house, I wish you get a lot of 'Ang Pow' with big value inside. For those who back to hometown, gather and celebrate CNY with their family, wish you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday. For those who want a good rest after some hard works, here's the opportunity for you.
And finally, happy investing!
Time flew like a drop, today is Chinese New Year eve. Have you managed to grab some profits from KLCI before CNY? I bet you are, as KLCI market rebounded 4 consecutive days before CNY! What a generous market for investors in this 'Bull' year. Well, let's look forward and welcome the 'Tiger' year.
In Tiger year, I believe there is a need to change my trading strategy. According to my past trading result, I found my existing trading strategy is not so effective. I’m trying to develop a strategy, which is accommodate for long-run. As a risk-resistant investor, I guess it should be more suitable for me?

Malaysia 1Q10 Interest Rate
Our Bank Negara announced the Overnight Policy Rate remains unchanged at 2% today. The meeting committee claimed that the monetary policy will remain accommodative to ensure the economic recovery is well entrenched.
Even though Malaysia economy is expected to expand further in 2010 and the growth being supported by strengthening domestic demand, the change largely reflects the lapse of the impact from the adjustment to retail fuel prices in 2008, as well as the absence of further price revisions and external influences.
Anyway, they will need to ensure the stance of monetary policy is appropriate to prevent the build up of financial imbalances by keeping the same interest rates. I'm expecting the interest rate to be upgraded of 25 points by 2Q or 3Q10, depends on the economy situation.
